Overview of Wellbeing In Nature Level 2 and 3 accredited training

Spending time in wild nature places nurtures deeper connection with nature and over time, importantly, with oneself.

Over 10 years of delivering Wellbeing In Nature sessions for our local community means we have much in the way of valuable first-hand experience that benefits our delivery of Wellbeing In Nature training pathways. So, whether your interest is purely a personal one, to deepen your understanding, or you’re interested in running Wellbeing In Nature sessions designed to nurture health and wellbeing outcomes for participants, read on…

We are approved trainers for Agored Cymru Level 2 ‘Supporting Wellbeing in Nature’, with the focus being on deepening knowledge/insight and personal experience concerning how wellbeing is nurtured through nature connection.

We are also approved trainers for Agored Cymru Level 3 ‘Wellbeing In Nature’ Practitioners Qualification, with the focus being on supporting students to be fully equipped, in theoretical and practical terms, to run their own Wellbeing In Nature sessions.

Agored Cymru Level 2 Award in Supporting Wellbeing in Nature

This training pathway delivers much in the way of personal insight into how nature can nurture wellbeing, with plenty of opportunities for engaging with practical experiences.

You’ll deepen your understanding of wellbeing models that can provide useful frameworks to underpin different approaches for people to benefit their health and wellbeing through nature-connection.

Some of the training is delivered online but most will be delivered during an immersive, experiential weekend of nature connection in the ancient woodland where we are based.

Completely surrounded by fields, the 20-acre woodland in Northamptonshire, where we are based, is an oasis of calm and tranquility where most of the paths are made by the animals that live there. Most people who visit comment on the fact there is something especially calming and soothing about spending time in the woodland.

The Level 2 pathway is very suitable for people who are starting out on their Wellbeing In Nature journey, as well as those who have dipped their toe in the water and, as a consequence, want to learn more. We also offer the option for students to only attend the residential, without going to to attend online sessions or submit a course workbook for assessment.

We deliver the Level 2 ‘Supporting Wellbeing In Nature’ as a blended learning model, with some sessions delivered online and 2.5 days delivered face-to-face. The cost of this learning pathway is £575.00.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll explore:

  • The relationship between people, nature and wellbeing
  • The benefits of nature environments for health and wellbeing
  • Wellbeing models, suitablility and approaches.
  • Practical nature-based activities
  • Reflective nature-based activities
  • Practicalities related to running and supporting a Wellbeing In Nature session
  • Environmental considerations
  • Measuring ‘outcomes’ and the importance and value of personal reflection

Agored Cymru ‘Wellbeing In Nature Practitioner’ Level 3 training

The Level 3 Practitioner training is considered very worthwhile by those who have completed it, but it does require considerable commitment to meet the Agored assessment criteria, which is A-level standard. There is also a requirement for the delivery of 6 sessions, with the same group of participants.

The Wellbeing In Nature Practitioner training is suitable for people who are already working with an organisation running wellbeing-related sessions, but want to broaden and deepen their knowledge. The training is also suitable for independents who wish to set up their own Wellbeing In Nature provision, or are interested in providing a service to support social-prescribing participants.

The Level 3 Practitioner training will help you develop a full tool-kit for running Wellbeing In Nature sessions that are both meaningful and therapeutically-informed. The cost of training delivery for this learning pathway is £1195.00

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll explore

Next Steps on your learning pathway

Whichever training option seems to meet the needs of what you’re seeking, we’ll talk it through with you, before you apply formally. We want to ensure, as best we can, that the learning pathway you choose is going to be suitable.

We take pride in the fact that we do not ‘sell’ training, but rather facilitate it for individuals who can demonstrate they not only have a passion to undertake the training, but have the time to engage with the necessary self-study requirements for both the Level 2 and Level 3.

A ‘no-obligation’ chat on the phone is the next step. We very much hope you have found what you have learned so far has inspired you to find out more and that you will decide to take the pathway to contact us.
