Wellbeing activities for Adults, Children and Families

Time spent connecting with nature quietens the mind and rebalance emotions

We have been running sessions for adults, children and families for over 7 years, all dedicated to providing quality nature connection experiences.

To protect people during the pandemic we now run small group sessions, for a minimum of 3 adults at a time.

Our monthly sessions for families with special needs book up quickly as we have limited numbers to 4 or 5 families (up to a maximum of 15-20 people attending at one time)

Phone Susan Collini on 07483 234109 for more information and an informal chat about any of the session options listed below.

Feedback from family events

“Excellent experience, I felt very relaxed and able to spend more quality time with my children. I totally forgot about daily struggles and worries”

“We loved that we could allow our kids to be who they wanted to be on their terms and their smiles and laughter that resulted reflected this. As parents we felt a welcome relief from pressure in being able to enjoy taking our children out without the usual anxiety and being on high alert”

Sunday 8th August
Family Woodland Session

Small numbers of families with SN children coming together to enjoy valuable emotional ‘reset’ time in the woodland.

Spending time in a tranquil place allows nature to deliver it’s soothing balm, relaxing the body and resetting emotional balance.

Opportunities for families to attend in friendship ‘bubbles’ are  also now available for those who would feel more comfortable attending sessions with other families they know.

One adult per 2 children is a requirement for these sessions.

Forest Bathing sessions suitable for over 16’s

If you know how it feels when you’ve been for a walk and you feel better in yourself, then this is similar but more potent.

Forest Bathing involves being guided and supported to slow down, relax and tune into nature, with a view to experiencing a refreshing, restorative experience.

You can choose to attend with people you don’t know beforehand or with a group of friends (minimum of 3).

You can choose either a 2 or 3 hour session.

Nature therapy in action

If nature is to act as a therapeutic presence a relationship with nature is necessary, one of feeling safe, relaxed and ‘at home’.

Below are a few images to give you a flavour of the tranquil wooldand we are so fortunate to be able to use for our nature therapy sessions with adults, children and families.
