What to expect at our Wellbeing In Nature weekend

This is a great opportunity to get away from life in the fast lane and rediscover the stillness that exists within all of us, if we can only slow down enough to allow ourselves to connect.

Over the weekend you’ll be invited to engage with a range of experiences and activities designed to soothe the mind, relax the body and restore emotional equilibrium.

Whether your preference is for reflective, creative or practical ways of connecting more deeply with yourself through nature connection, you’ll have opportunity to do just that. The woodland, completely surrounded by fields, is an oasis of tranquility just waiting to enfold you in the peace that exists there for those who are seeking a step away from their daily life, for a short while.

Finding inner calm through nature connection is key to reducing stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol, that for many people persist even when there is no perceivable threat to safety. Being ‘on edge’ becomes a way of life, the norm, which isn’t healthy and can lead to physical manifestations of ill health, over time. 

Scientific research has shown that spending 2 hours a week in a woodland environment can deliver tangible health and wellbeing benefits. So, imagine the effect of a couple of days spent in a calm, soothing place where you are free to do as you please, engaging with a variety of experiences designed to send you home with a greater understanding of practical ways to continue experiencing wellbeing benefits through nature connection. It’s a fact that spending time in a tranquil environment helps lower stress and anxiety levels and also to lower blood pressure and tendencies towards negative thinking patterns.

Lunch is provided on both days, as too refreshments throughout the day. There is opportunity to camp in the woodland, or you could choose to book into one of the local B&Bs if you would prefer that option.

The weekend runs from Friday 26th June late afternoon (optional) until Sunday 28th June at 4 p.m.

The cost of the weekend is £400/person
