Take a walk on the wild side
Imagine being in a place where the only other visitors are the creatures that choose to make the woodland their home.
There is opportunity for establishing your base-camp in an area that ‘speaks’ to you, or engaging in some deer calling or maybe just enjoy some peace and serenity lying in a hammock, gazing upwards to the sky through the fluttering leaves of the trees above you.
You can choose a session option where you are completely left to your own devices, meandering along the many winding animal-made paths, or you can select an option that includes some guided relaxation through sensory mindfulness activities.
You can also have a go, with guidance, to brew up water for tea or coffee using a Kelly Kettle, before just sitting back, perhaps leaning against a tree, to take in the stillness and tranquility that is the woodland personified.
This adventure is suitable for small groups of up to 10 adults, perhaps as a corporate outing or a group of friends celebrating a special birthday or other occasion. Wheelchair access to some parts of the woodland is possible.
Session length 2.5 hours – Cost: £35/person
Minimum group size – 6 adults (we’ll put you on the list)
Maximum group size – 15 adults
NB – There is a family option further down the page.

The secret life of trees
If you’re a tree lover or maybe already a tree hugger then this package is for you. An opportunity to get close up and personal to the various tree species in the wood, including Oak, Cherry, Hazel, Small Leaved Lime, Hornbeam and Spindle, the ancient woodland indicator tree.
Spend a few hours exploring the various areas of the woodland to meet the trees, hear stories about their history and learn about how we work to protect their future. If the season is ‘right’ you could possibly get to plant a tree of your own.
There are also other fascinating insights, involving the trees in the wood, including an important connection with the Home Guard in WW2.
You’ll also be provided with opportunity to have your senses soothed as you sit and listen to the inner patterns of energy of different trees, transformed into audible music.
Our tree listening device not only delivers a sense of wonder and delight concerning the secret life of trees, but transforms their electrical impulses into audible, musical notes that combine to provide what could be described as a relaxing, sound-bath experience.
Wheelchair access to some parts of the woodland is possible.

Wild wood experience for families
Nourish your mental health and nurture your emotional wellbeing through time spent in what has been described by many as an Oasis of Tranquility, a place that delivers solace and a profound sense of inner peace and stillness.
As an adult you can opt to spend your time gently exploring the woodland or perhaps opt to lie in a hammock listening to the wildlife that will be nearer to where you are than you might imagine. Stay still for a period of time and the wildlife will likely come to you!
If you are a family group we can arrange for various activities to be made available for your children to engage with, including bug hunting, puppet theatre, log walking, den building, scavenger and mini-safari-hunts.
Fire making is an option too for adult or family groups, providing opportunities for working together as a team locating and gathering suitable fuel, building and lighting the fire and then cooking the food of choice you’ve brought with you.
